We Sing. We Dance. We Draw Cards.

Nadia was singing, someone who I didn't know was dancing, and we were all making Christmas cards. Aside from that it was a good social with food, hot cocoa, and whatnot.

Just a week of school to go before finals, and my Fall 2010 in Pictures is nearly complete.

Drained Lakes

Never before have I seen the water level in the lake near by neighborhood go down so low... it seems like I can see the floor.

The Black Friday Tradition

Our tradition: Every year, after family reunion, dinner, taking pictures and whatnot, apart from drawing names to determine who to give a present to for Christmas, we take a part of the newspaper, look at what we want to buy, and head over there the next morning or so.

Off to Target I went. There was a bit of competition there including one of my cousins who managed to get there a few hours earlier. But in the end, I managed to get my 2TB hard drive for a bit over $70 after a tip from a customer saying that you had to ask for it at checkout.

Fun Fact: Saw someone there who looked a lot like April who was formerly from MCHS.

The Reopening

The outside of the reopened Krispy Kreme store.

It's been over three years ago since it closed down... and it's about time it opened again.

Now if you excuse me for a sec, I'm going to enjoy some fresh glazed doughnuts.

Fun Fact: Four years ago, MCHS Student Government gave out valentine cards to students that could be redeemed for one Krispy Kreme doughnut. Unfortunately it closed before I actually had a chance to use them. It reopened just recently, and I was able to use them again.

I Like It Deep Fried

Number of attempts to get this: 3. One dollar to enjoy a deep fried Twinkie: priceless.

There's a lot of things at the UC that are toasted and grilled. For others, you can deep fry them.

On FB's Wall Photos Privacy

UPDATED: Ever since they changed per-post privacy settings, you can change the privacy of each picture on Wall Photos. You may disregard the content of this post.

I've noticed today that there's a problem in showing the solution to the picross puzzle a few posts down. I intended it to be shown to everyone, however the privacy settings made it that no one could see the image.

Further examanation of the 'Wall Photos' album on Facebook revealed that the album has a unique privacy setting feature. Although the album's privacy setting determines whether or not you can view the album at all (from the Photos tab of the profile), the photos's individual privacy is based on the privacy setting that you put on the picture that you uploaded when you posted it on your wall.

Example: If you uploaded an image to your wall only for yourself, it gets put on your Wall Photos album. No one else can see the image by either looking at your wall or in the Wall Photos album. Sending them a direct link won't work for them.)

Workaround: You can move that photo on the "wall photos" album to another album on the edit photos page, and the photo's privacy setting will be that of the destination album. Keep in mind; you can't move it back into the Wall Photos album.

I will reupload and fix that issue, sorry for the inconvenience.

Renovations

What used to be Hollywood Video is now the new location of Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar. They changed the entrance, made it more attractive, etc.

Similarly, Barnes N Noble moved a lot of items around; most notably it took me a bit over 10 minutes to find where the puzzle books were.

The L&L Fundraiser

This is basically what the L&L Fundraiser for Circle K looked like. Upon arrival, over 50 people got the flyer. Looks like they were right about this fundraiser becoming profitable.

Overall, over $100 has been raised for UOP Circle K, making it a great start for the first fundraiser of the year. Time to plan another one...

Event Planning, Part 3

#183E. Successfully host an event. (Goal completed)

Despite the fact there's only... 14 confirmed guests? (Of course, I'm representing UOP CKI with this fundraiser, so it helps.)

At least it was better than the attempt to set up a Laser tag event, which failed to get any confirmed guests and was canceled as a result.

Other than that, RSVP and attend this L&L fundraiser if time allows; 20% of it goes to Circle K if you present the flyer.
